The salmon and steelhead specific Scimitar series by Shimano was designed with a high-end look and feel that also outclasses every rod in the competition. These lightweight and powerful graphite spinning and casting rods feature a longer rear and foregrip to balance the longer rod blanks that are necessary when fishing for salmon and steelhead whether you are casting spoons, blades or crankbaits. No matter the technique, the Scimitar series is offered in the ideal powers and actions to get the job done. The Scimitar series feature aluminum oxide guides for increased casting distance and durability, especially for those anglers fishing with PowerPro braided fishing lines. The graphite composite construction makes the rod extremely light, super durable, and most importantly increases the rod’s sensitivity. All of the rods within the Scimitar salmon and steelhead series are two pieces.
