The Original Okuma Classic Pro Black Rods for the everyday applications of lake trolling, trolling with down riggers, with planers or with divers. Designed to match Okuma's star drag and line counter reels, this dependable family of rods keeps growing. The clean, sleek black rods are fitted with graphite and stainless reel seats, EVA grip and aluminum oxide guides. The glass fiber blanks, strong and forgiving, stand up to the day-to-day abuse these rods are often subjected to. Also have some Chartreuse Tip models!

Original Black Okumas with neon tip
I can't speak for the shorter lengths -but the 8' 6 rods are truly awesome. Soft and flexible under a load works great with inline boards and dipsy's.
